Week Seventeen

Another month (and a half) trundles by in the MarketingNot Fantasy League, so how do things stand going into the 'crucial Christmas programme'?

Ben still sits atop the tree (does this make him a fairy?), though a slowish December (John Terry excepted) allows Jon to close up behind him, with Mark B making real progress to narrow the spread between the top three to just seven points. Mark's cross-Mancunian strike force of Vassell and Rooney do the business, with Marlon Harewood adding another eight points.

26 points further back, myself, Adam and Brian are grouped together (though I should hit form now as my injury crisis appears to be ending). Tim and Mark S tire of the wooden-spoon love-in that Dave and Loz are having and make strides to join the rest of us in the championship race.

With one week still to go in the initial group stages of Europe, Tim and Mark B have already crashed out, whilst I have already qualified (providing my main opponent fails to make up a points difference of 51 in the final week).

This blog is not updated regularly enough. Maybe we should have a tender next year

Leaves fall and drift away, winter days of weak sunshine pass, weeks become months, flowers bloom, parklife resumes at a pace with little ones exploring the new world into which they have arrived.
The sun grows stronger as spring turns to summer.
In the distance a bird sings.
